Timothy “Tisru” Schuerch, a tribal member of the Native Village of Kiana, has been President/CEO of Maniilaq Association since March 2014 and has a strong background in law and local and statewide tribal issues. Schuerch has worked with Maniilaq since 2013, having previously worked as the Director of Compliance and Quality Services.
Prior to joining Maniilaq Association, Schuerch served as President/CEO of Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation. Schuerch has also worked as General Counsel for both Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation and Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC).
Schuerch has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Mexico and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He has been married to Anh Sharpe for nearly twenty years and has two children.
Wayne Qaniqsiruaq Westlake serves as NANA’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). An Iñupiaq from the Native Village of Kiana, Westlake focuses on maximizing performance from NANA’s three income sectors to the benefit of the Corporation’s 13,800 Iñupiat shareholders.
Prior to his current position, Westlake served as president of Tern Point, LLC, a company that provides administrative services and technical support to the federal government and commercial clients; Lithocore, LLC, an engineering services company; and vice president of Business Development at Kikiktagruk Iñupiat Corporation (KIC).
He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Alaska Pacific University (APU) and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA).
