Bert Adams is Inupiaq from Kivalina. He brings a broad range of personal and professional experience. Mr. Adams has worked on the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline, city administrator of Kivalina, Kivalina chief of police, and owns and operates Myra’s Store. Mr. Adams is a graduate of Mt. Edgecumbe High School, and his past experience includes: the NANA board of directors, the Kivalina Lions Club, the Mayor of Kivalina, the Northwest Arctic Borough Charter Commission, and the Northwest Arctic Borough Economic Development Commission. His parents are Caleb and Ruth Adams. He has been married to Myra for 35 years, and proud father of four children.
