Felix P. Hess is a shareholder of Azachorak, Inc. and Calista Corporation. He has served on the Calista Board since 1988 and his current term expires in 2009. He is presently the Secretary of the Board and serves on the Nominating Committee. His present service in Calista’s subsidiaries or affiliates includes being Chair of Alaska Newspapers, Inc. and the Vice-Chair of Tunista, Inc. Mr. Hess graduated from Mt. Edgecumbe in 1971. He has also studied business administration at Kuskokwim Community College, 1976; and the University of Alaska Anchorage and Anchorage Community College, 1977-79. Mr. Hess is currently employed as Compliance Officer for Calista Corporation. His employment history includes: Housing Director for Asa’carsarmiut Tribal Council Housing Director, 2004; North Star Gas Vice President, Corporate Development, 1998-2004; Nunat Uquutiit Cooperative, Inc. General Manager, 1996-1998; Kuigpagmiut, Inc. 1994-1995; Calista Corporation Office of the Chairman, 1992-1993. His other experiences and affiliations include service in the U.S. Navy, 1971-75, and he currently serves on the Azachorok, Inc. Board of Directors and is a Trustee with the Anchorage Moravian Church. Mr. Hess is not directly related to any Director, nominee or executive officer of Calista or any of its subsidiaries. During the past year he had 100% attendance at Board of Director and Committee meetings. |
