Herman Kignak, Sr.
Arctic Slope Native Association

Originally from Barrow Herman Kignak, Sr. “Mometanna” is named after a great whaler. Currently he is the President of the Village of Atqasuk. Mr. Kignak has served as the vice chair of the Arctic Slope Native Association, assemblyman of the North Slope Borough, and actively involved to advocate for the hospital in Barrow. He enjoys geese and caribou hunting. He is a proud father of six, and grandfather of seven.
