Ken Johns is actively involved at Alaska Federation of Natives; he serves on the Board of Directors, Human Resources, Subsistence, and Convention Committees. Since 2001, Mr. Johns has served the President Ahtna, Inc. and 10 subsidiaries and committed to make shareholder hire a priority, particularly at the senior management level where eight out of twelve parent and subsidiary management personnel are shareholders. His objective is to keep the corporation focused on its goals and objectives as outlined in the corporations values statement. “Ahtna, Inc., with a strong sense of cultural pride and identity, will enhance the overall well being of our shareholders through the wise stewardship of our natural resources, sustained growth, and economic development for future generations.” In addition he is strongly committed to the Native community by serving on the boards of the Alaska Village Initiatives, Wells Fargo Bank, ANCSA Presidents and CEOs Association and the Copper Center Chapel. Mr. Johns and his wife of 35 years, Leona, reside in Tazlina and are the proud parents of four children.
