Larry Evanoff

Larry Evanoff is of Alutiiq ancestry from Chenega Bay in the Prince William Sound.Mr. Evanoff's education and training is a graduate of Mt. Edgecumbe High School in Sitka and attended the Federal Aviation Administration Academy in Oklahoma. He is a decorated Veteran of Foreign Wars in the U.S. Army and served with the Alaska Army National Guard as the Nuclear Biological and Chemical Noncommissioned Officer.

He is a dedicated contributor to the Native community by serving on the boards of the Chenega IRA Council, Chugachmiut, Chugach Alaska Corporation, Chenega Corporation, North Pacific Rim Housing Authority, Prince William Sound Regional Citizens Advisory Council, Chugach Regional Resources Commission, Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Public Advisory Committee and the Nativity of Theotokos Church Committee.Mr. Evanoff spear headed the rebuilding of Chenega Bay and enjoys everything in ‘village life’ including, hunting, fishing and trapping.He has been married for 38 years, a proud father of four and a grandfather of seven.
