Margie Brown is the president and chief executive officer of CIRI. Brown is a Yup'ik Eskimo originally from Takotna, Alaska, has many years of service with the company. She currently serves on The Trust for Public Land, the Nature Conservancy and the Alaska Airlines Advisory Board. Her community activity includes being a founding board member and board chair of The CIRI Foundation, the UAA Alaska Native Success Council and participates in the UAF's Leadership Alaska program as a mentor. Ms. Brown is a 2007 Athena Award recipient. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Oregon and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
