Ted Angasan attended Sheldon Jackson studying math, science and civil engineering. He has been instrumental in advocating for the Native peoples of the Bristol Bay Region. He assisted in the creation of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and served on the original incorporated AFN Board. He also assisted in the creation of the Bristol Bay Native Association and the Bristol Bay Native Corporation and lobbied for King Salmon village to become a federally recognized tribe. Currently, Mr. Angasan works as a tax preparer for the Bristol Bay Economic Development Corporation, and the Financial Officer and part-time Administrator of the Naknek Native Tribe. He has served on the boards of the South Naknek Village Council, Bristol Bay Native Association, Bristol Bay Economic Development Corporation and the Alaska Peninsula Corporation. He is Aleut from South Naknek. |
