2008 AFN Convention
Keynote Speaker:

Marie Kasannaaluk Greene
President/CEO, NANA Regional Corporation

Marie Kasannaaluk Greene, an Iñupiat born and raised in Deering, is President and Chief Executive Officer of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. Prior to assuming that post, she held various senior level positions at NANA, including Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for managing its daily operations. As President/CEO, Greene is entrusted with carrying out the strategic plans and policies of NANA’s 23-member Board of Directors.

Greene was Executive Director for Aqqaluk Trust, a private foundation established by NANA to preserve and enhance the Iñupiat way of life through cultural programs, and to contribute to the success of NANA shareholders, descendents and dependents through scholarships for higher education and vocational training.

Additionally Greene served for 17 years as President of Maniilaq Association, a non-profit corporation providing health, tribal and social services to residents of Northwest Alaska.

Greene serves on numerous boards and commissions, including OTZ Telephone Cooperative, Wells Fargo Bank, and Northwest Arctic Workforce Development & Education Consortium.

Greene received her Bachelor’s Degree in Rural Development from Chukchi College, a branch of the University of Alaska.

She and her husband Chuck Greene are proud parents of four and grandparents of nine.
