1. When is the 2012 AFN Convention? The 2012 Convention will be held October 18, 19 and 20 at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Assembly Sessions:
Thursday, October 18 & Friday, October 19 8:00am-5:00pm
Saturday, October 20  9:00am-3:30pm

Arts and Crafts Show and Exhibit Fair Hours:
8:00am-7:00pm Thursday & Friday
8:00am-3:00pm Saturday

Quyana:
Wednesday and Thursday 7:00pm-11:00pm

AFN Banquet:
Saturday Reception 6:00pm-6:30pm, Dinner 6:30pm-10:00pm

2. Who can attend? The Convention is a private gathering of our delegates and membership but AFN welcomes visitors to all the central activities including the assembly sessions with speakers and forums, and the Alaska Native Arts & Crafts show and sale, the AFN Exhibit Fair.

3. Do I need to register? Is there a registration fee? Only AFN member delegates need to register. There is no cost or registration requirement for visitors. Quyana Native Dance performances and the AFN Banquet require tickets.

4. Where can I park at the Dena’ina Center? For directions and parking information click here.

5. How do I get Quyana tickets? Quyana will be held Wednesday and Thursday evening at the Dena’ina Center from 7:00pm -11:00pm. Ticket information will be available on the AFN web site in October.

6. How do I get Banquet tickets? Banquet tickets are available now; Call to reserve your seat or 10-person table*: We accept all major credit cards: Judy Jaworski (907) 274-3611 or by email! Tables seat 10.

General Admission tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please make checks payable to: AFN Banquet, 1577 C Street, Suite 300, Anchorage, Alaska 99501. Tickets may be picked up at the AFN Office beginning October 1st or at the AFN Information Table on October 20th.

7. Are there special Convention rates for travel? Many of the air carriers,  car rental agencies and Anchorage hotels have special rates during the AFN Convention. Keep checking the AFN website for updates. For general travel planning information:  http://www.anchorage.net/index.html

8. How do I get an agenda? The agenda will on the AFN web site as soon as it is available. This will be in October or earlier. Our recommendation is to keep checking on the website!
