President’s Awards Deadline Extended

The deadline to nominate individuals for a President’s Award has been extended to the 17th of September. The President’s Awards are awarded at annual Convention, and this year they will be given out as part of the main Convention Agenda.

About the President’s Awards

15 Awards will be given out at Convention this year, including the new Gin’tith (Richard Frank) Military Service Award, which will go to an Alaska Native who has shown deep commitment to the U.S. Armed Forces and is either in active duty or is a veteran honorably discharged from active duty. Some of the other Awards given out annually include the Culture Bearer, Health, Lu You Youth Leadership, and Dr. Walter Sobolerff “Warriors of Light” awards.

After reading the criteria, you may download and complete the President’s Award Nomination Form. The deadline to submit the form has been extended to the 17th of September.
